Ikea Runs, Electric Hot Water Heaters, Drywall, Electrical Work, Plumbing, Fans, & ... Progress

Well, I told you all I wasn't good at this. But, better late than never.

Ahhh, lots going on and we are coming down to the end of living in our apartment and getting really excited about moving into the DUPLEX!!!!!

To me the biggest deal these past few weeks is my incredible husband being able to get up, not 1, not 2, but 3 LAYERS of linoleum from the rental kitchen floor. He worked so hard on it and it looks bare and ready for new floors. He also mowed the yard for the 1st time. It looks so nice. Thanks love.

Things we have bought:

• Our Kitchen counter tops. So beautiful
• The Rental bathroom sink and cabinets
• The Rental faucet for the kitchen sink
• A cool overhead light for our side

So, the plumber came and reworked the kitchen sink piping in the rental side so that the faucet wont come straight out of the wall, but now will come up from the sink like a normal faucet:) Yay!!!!

The Heating and Air guy came by and gave us some estimates on several different options. We decided on 2 (because of the 2 units) brand new electric hot water heaters. Oh Yeah. Crazy how nice they look and how I have never even thought about hot water coming from a random tank in the basement/laundry room/random closet:) Now I do. By the way, for those of you that don't live in the the great NW, most Oregonians don't have AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!

Which leads me to Fans. I have a dear friend that works at The Modern Fan Company and is going to be helping us big time on getting our new fans. There will probably be 5 fans all together. Makes summer a lot cooler, and the noise is always nice too:)

Yep, if you zoom in you will see that people stuck incense sticks up in the fan and that's what has burnt the whole fan and part of the ceiling. Oh yeah!!! No joke

Not so bad, but wait till you see the new ones. Pics to come.

Our sweet friend Nate came back by to give an estimate on the drywall for the left (rental) side and he will be coming by next week to work on that. There will be some great before and afters of that.

Daniel found a really great master electrician who's quote was half the price of another electrician and that man's quote was just for one side!!! So, they worked on some rewiring, putting in new outlets, and taking down old fans. It is a beautiful thing when people are gifted in a certain trade and you know when a task is given to them it will be done to perfection! Ahhhhhh so very nice.

Daniel and I are really well. Working hard at our jobs and then working hard at the duplex to get it ready for when we move in at the end of the month. Daniel has been amazing!!!! He was at the duplex almost every day last week meeting all the people above and making things happen. So proud to be his partner.
